Sabarlah..

Distance makes the heart grows fonder... Posted by Hello

I used to change my accent, change my stance
My phone number, the way I dance
Some people change lovers like they change their sheets
But I won't change you honey, you're for keeps

I used to think I had to change the way I am
To feel better, to get a man
But once I stopped trying I fell for you
You fell for me so I'll stay the same for you

Oh yeah I know that I'm not perfect baby
Oh yeah it's no reason to go crazy
Oh yeah boy you can always count on me
For better or for worse I will always put you first

Now that I have found you
You've changed my life
Cos you're the one who showed me
I have everything right
We're never gonna differ cos we know it's true
So don't change me and I won't change you

I used to change my style like I changed my mind
I tried to change a tyre but I'm not that way inclined
Tried to change my figure my diet too
I'll still change my underwear if that's O.K with you
But after seeing you I know that here is best

Oh yeah the world can sometimes make you feel bad
Oh yeah but don't forget the things you have
Oh yeah boy you can always count on me
In sickness and in health baby always be yourself

The countdown is ticking.. 56 hours and counting. I can't wait!
InsyaAllah, this Saturday morning I'll be able to have a chance to meet up with my honey again. It's only been just over 6 months since I last met him, but for any one of you out there with a loved one far away, you'll understand how long 6 months seems. At times it felt like years.. time has stretched so long, minutes are passing so slow.. I guess the trick is to keep yourself occupied and contact each other as much as possible. Trust and honesty are the most important ingredients to long distance relationships.

Norman's gonna be back in town for only a couple of months. After this he'll be working in Dublin. So I'm making some adjustments for future benefits.. yesterday, I went to an interview for a tutor position in one of our local universities. The aim is to get scholarship to continue with my studies, hopefully somewhere in UK/Ireland. There were 5 people there aiming for a position, a guy who had just completed his PhD from a UK university, and 3 final sem master students, then there's me.. this girl with a double degree!! I tried my best, maybe there'll be a couple positions available.. I guess if I'm lucky I might get it, InsyaAllah!

Last Sunday, I went to the British Council Education Expo in PWTC. I've been eyeing on a couple of British Universities to further my studies. Fortunately I manage to meet up with most of the representatives from my list of universities I was targetting. So my aim to to start applying in the next few months. The intake would be around September this year. Wish me luck!
