Three months at a glance..
Our Engagement... I've Changed jobs.. Fiancee decides to stay..
Once again my life has taken away all possible chances of updating this blog. Anyhow in all its simplicity, the three short sentences above can be used to summarize the main events of the last three months..
Everything happened quite quickly, guess it's time for changes again. Ever since the beginning of the year, I've felt that I wanted to change jobs. So in February 22nd, I went to an interview. Then exactly one month later, March 22nd, I went to the UKM interview. And as if in a sequence, one month later, April 22nd, I received the good news that I have been accepted to work here. But I have been quite hesitant about it until suddenly one day I felt that I've had it with Panasonic and decided to move on. As it happens that day was May 20th.
I just woke up that morning and felt that no matter what happens I have to decide to stay or just go. So I went to work, looked at people and surrounding, and I just knew that I wouldn't want to stay any longer. I just couldn't see myself being there 5 year from now, or even next year. So I went up to my direct superior and told her that I've opt to quit. That very day I wrote my resignation letter ( actually I just altered the resignation letter found on my desktop from the person before me) and submitted it to our Manager.
So on May 22nd, I replied back to UKM saying that I'll be joining them a month later. So I quit Panasonic on 20th June and joined UKM then after..
Everyone was kinda shocked at my sudden decision to quit. Initially after finding out that I got engaged on May 8th 2005, everyone thought that I would quit to be with Norman a year later, but then they were once again shocked to hear that I've opt to quit a month later instead. All in all, the best part of all this is tha fact that my darling fiancee (Noris' Mr. Norman) has decided to stay and work in Malaysia to be with me :) Just when I thought I couldn't possibly love him more, God finds a way to show me that love is simply never ending. May we live happily ever after.. Amin.
